This was the first video we recorded after the Proper Twelve review which is why we mention the troll feedback so much in this one. It just took awhile to get around to editing this one since I'm new to editing.
We still have some old videos to edit, but going forward we plan to include more viewer comments, questions and feedback. We appreciate all of it, so if you have a question please don't be shy and leave it in the comment box (or you can email us if you wish to remain anonymous).
The Glenlivet 15 French Oak Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky that was aged for 15 years and then extra matured in French Limousin Oak. These types of casks are typically used in the aging of Cognac and bring out some spicy notes.
The video has been uploaded for a few days so we've had enough time to get viewer feedback, and while Mike and I both despised this one on rocks (scored the lowest "undrinkable" rating of 1) we have heard from a bunch of people who said they love this one on the rocks. Taste is subjective and we always encourage you to drink it the way you like it.
Personally, I liked this one with a couple of drops of water.
Mike was leaning a little more towards neat.
So, if you've tried this one, what is your preferred way to drink it?
As a fan of scotch and other whiskeys I was tired of looking up reviews for new whiskeys that just oozed of snobbery. I wanted to create an outlet for average Joe's who don't have a sommelier palate. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, I moved to San Diego, California in 2010 with my wife. I'm also a fan of MMA, pro-wrestling, comic books, video games and strongman. All subjects are topic for discussion on the podcast.
