It's been a hectic couple of weeks, but we finally uploaded a new review video on our Youtube channel for one of my personal favorites, Talisker 10.
The craziness of the past 2 weekes stemmed from the popularity of our Proper Twelve review, and then our giveaway taking time to make sure everything was accurately documented. We also created a T-Shirt shop here and finally, the biggest bummer, with my wife no longer being able to edit Brolic Whiskey videos due to her own schedule being full from commissioned paintings.
Sooooo...that left me to learn how to edit videos, downloading and trying a bunch of different programs to see which would be most user friendly for my limited experience, but alas, with the help of Hitfilm Express, I finally edited my first ever video. It took far longer than I care to admit for something so simple, but there may be many like it, but this one is mine :)
I still have one more editing program I'm going to try for our next review to see if that one is easier on me.
Talisker 10 is a Diageo owned product and has the distinction of being the only distillery from the Isle of Skye. This is a single malt Scotch whisky that has been aged a minimum of 10 years. It has a similar profile as Islay whiskies from the peat smoke, and maritime influence giving it a salty tone that is well balanced between sweet, smoke and salty. It's such an under-valued and under-appreciated dram. Definitely in my top 3 favorites.
Now we know, Mike and I don't always see eye to eye on our opinions on whisky, so will Mike like this one as much as I do?
Watch the video below to find out!
P.S. The picture is of our "Tripod" setup that we were laughing about at the end of the video.
#NoExcuses It gets the job done, but clearly we need to update equipment with microphones, better editing equipment and a damn tripod lol, so we'd greatly appreciate it if you became a Patreon supporter of our channel. You can se the different tier levels we offer on our Patreon page.
Talisker 10 review:
As a fan of scotch and other whiskeys I was tired of looking up reviews for new whiskeys that just oozed of snobbery. I wanted to create an outlet for average Joe's who don't have a sommelier palate. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, I moved to San Diego, California in 2010 with my wife. I'm also a fan of MMA, pro-wrestling, comic books, video games and strongman. All subjects are topic for discussion on the podcast.
